A Biography in Brief

Voza grew up on ships sailing to and from Moraby Bay. She started out as a humble deckhand, but learned how to wield an axe, and quickly became a mercenary for hire.In her 18th summer, she gave up the sailing life to learn to become an artificer. She loved seeing music boxes and other trinkets at far-off marketplaces, and wanted to learn to make her own.She became interested in archaeology while working with the goldsmiths in Ul'dah. The mysterious moving statues in the ruins of Qarn appealed to her, and she started working as a mercenary treasure hunter as an excuse to study them up close. Exploring ancient temples became a new passion for her.After the Calamity, all of her focus shifted to the Crystal Tower and the Allagans, and her research has led her all across Eorzea.Voza has collected many manuscripts and tablets of ancient magick, and has become something of a self-taught thaumaturge.


Personality

  • Voza is always cheerful and energetic. Maybe a bit too informal for some folks.

  • Sometimes her head gets caught in the clouds. She might not know what's going on all the time, but she's good at rolling with it.

  • She's a hard worker, most of the time, but sometimes she'll do something "the lazy way" if it allows her to multitask.

  • Voza loves cute things! Granted, her definition of "cute" can extend to Behemoths, so your mileage may vary.

  • She loves games, riddles, and puzzles. She'll always take a challenge at Triple Triad or the Gold Saucer!

  • Voza believes in you!!


Roleplay Hooks

  • Voza always has one or two magitek projects in the works. She cobbled together her own armor, and recently refurbished an ADS node.

  • She has worked with the machinists of Ishgard and Garland Ironworks, but she's not interested in working full time for either company. Not that they've ever offered...

  • Voza loves ancient ruins! If someone tells her about a lost city or secret underground temple, she's going to find a way to get in there. Especially (especially?) if there are deadly traps or magicked guardians about.

  • She's learned a bit of conjury and thaumaturgy from her research, but she's not a member of either guild. Hopefully that's not a problem...

  • Voza has all kinds of stories about life on the sea, far off ports, and encounters with deadly monsters. Some of them might even be true!


Out of Character

  • Voza is played by a 30-something he/him.

  • In an RP scenario, Voza may not always speak in quotations, but if she has an RP tag on, she should be in character. I will always use ((parenthesis)) to separate OOC chatter.

  • I am open to walk-up/tell situations, and am happy to workshop longer form ideas with folks. Feel free to send a tell!

  • I am, however, not interested in ERP or related concepts.
